CBLT owns a 100% interest in this claim group (28.5 square km) along the Tally Pond volcanic belt, within 10 km along strike of Teck’s former producing Duck Pond Cu-Zn Mine. The Duck Pond Mine is classified as a VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) deposit and started production in 2007 with an initial resource of 6 million tonnes at approximately 3% Cu, 6% Zn, 60 g/t Ag and 0.9 g/t Au.

The CBLT claims are underlain by the same geological package of altered felsic volcanic rocks as are common to the Duck Pond Mine and hosts a number of untested EM (electro-magnetic) targets which are coincident with anomalous base metals (Zn, Cu, Pb and Ag) in both rock and soils. Although historic drilling was limited, the area has extensive geophysical and geochemical survey coverage. The historic Burnt Pond Prospect is located in the centre of the property and has been tested with approximately 14 drill holes, which has defined a 30 metre wide zone of base metal altered felsic volcanic including values up to 50.5% combined Zn-Pb-Cu over 0.37 meters. Anomalous zinc values associated with other alteration zones include the North Moose Showing and the Wim Showing (1.9% zinc, 1.5% lead) and drill intersections of 1.0% zinc over 2.9m metres.

In 2017, a former owner completed a 874 metre three-hole drill program on the Burnt Pond Prospect VMS horizon. The drilling extended the base metal horizon an additional 250 meters to the northeast and had a best intersection of 0.72% zinc, and 5.1g/t silver over 4.2 meters. The program was also successful in confirming the Burnt Pond Prospect is hosted by a thick sequence of highly altered felsic fragmentals, which is also characteristic of the Duck Pond Mine. Additional drilling should test the Burnt Pond Prospect horizon and other similar looking targets within the property.
